Cider mill-Moira and John. Date with Dad!
John and Moira headed to The Cider Mill tonight. The one good thing about Fall in upstate is all the fun places to visit! Emma-Jo and I stayed home And rested since she got her shots today but we are so excited they are bringing us Donuts! P.S. not sure why Moira chose the Minnie Mouse ears, but it did distract her from wanting to change her clothes and dress as a farmer.

Moira the 4 Year Old
MOIRA,
I hope when you read this letter
years from now, you’ll know how amazing and special you are and even at 4 years
old people are SO drawn to you! You are probably the most popular 4 year old in
the world. I should have started writing these letters to you 4 years ago but I
will try to make up for the first 3 by writing straight from my heart.
Wow! Tomorrow is a very big Day!
You will be 4!!! There will be a ROCK N ROLL Party in your honor at Pops’ Sugar
Shack right down the road, and you can’t wait to see all of your friends and
your cousins are even here from Connecticut.
Let me start by describing you!! First, you are SO smart!
You amaze me every day with your questions and reasoning. You always want to
know how and why and ask such important questions that keep me wondering
exactly how the world works as well. You love to read with you Dad each night
and ask such intriguing questions. He is so proud of you and loves your time
together. You have an amazing sense of humor! Lately you have been telling knock-knock
jokes (some better then others) but you love when everyone laughs along with
you.
You are a FASHIONISTA! Most of our
disagreements have come from trying to dress you in the mornings and you have
learned that you LOVE dresses and skirts and even after of hard day of play you
always seem put together. But most important you are sweet, sensitive and
empathetic. You truly care for those around you and you hate to see anyone
suffer. You offer words of encouragement and praise and I love to hear you tell
Emma how proud you are of her small accomplishments. You are a good friend;
sister and you never leave anyone out.
You have
achieved so much this year and have so many different talents. You love to sing
and dance and put on shows- or ROCK OUT as you call it. You and your father
have spent a lot of time riding your 2 wheeler with training wheels and you can
make it all away around the block with almost no help. You enjoy movies and Disney shows and going
to the Opera with NANA. You love sleepovers and walking down to your Grammy and
Poppas. You LOVE to color and draw and illustrate stories. You are very
artistic and creative and we hang almost all of you pictures on the fridge. You
danced in your first recital-tap and ballet- and LOVE your friends at Conklin
Pre-School.
Moira you are simply my miracle.
You have put here on earth for many reasons, but mostly to change me. I have
achieved the most important role of a lifetime when you were born-your Momma! I
have become a much better person because of you and I never thought possible
that love could be this strong. You make me so proud and I love that you love
me back. Your entire family can’t get enough of you and everyone wants a little
piece of you. That’s usually what hurts me the most, the thought of anyone else
getting to share you and your love. Next year at this time I’ll be prepping
myself to send you off to kindergarten and I know you are going to be fine-but
I’ll be jealous of your new world without your momma. My heart is so full of
pride it actually feels that it may explode from love. You tell me all the time
that we are BFF’s (best friends forever) and it melts my heart. I even had
Cuckoo record you saying it just in case you change your mind someday around
age 13.
The world is a scary place and part
of me wishes I could freeze time-put us in a bubble and not let anything and
anyone near us. But I know you are meant for such bigger things then I could
ever offer you and that you will take the world by storm one way or another.
I’ll be here cheering you on every step of the way reminding you that no matter
what I am on your team. You are my sunshine and my wish come true.
The quote below if from Finding
Nemo- a movie we watched for quite a
while until TINKER BELL came out (You now watch that EVERY night-sometimes
against your will).
It sums up how I get the nerve up
each to day to share you with the world:
BE BRAVE
Marlin: I promised I’d never let anything happen to him.
Dory: Hmm. that’s a funny thing to promise.
Marlin: What?
Dory: Well, you can never let anything happen to him. Then
nothing would ever happen to him. Not much fun for little Harpo.
Moira E. -My First Princess- I LOVE YOU! You are a dream
come true!
Happy Fourth
Birthday-
Love your BFF,
MOMMA

My Dearest Emma-Jo
June
9, 2012
My Dearest Emma-Jo,
I want
to start writing you a letter on your birthday each year so that you can know
in words how truly special you are and I hope when you are a teenager you’ll
know how loved you are and how much we care for you. Tomorrow you turn 2 and we
couldn’t be more excited. We have been talking about your birthday for the last
month and we have a wonderful family party planned at our house! Moira has been
picking out your outfits that you’ll both wear and we have ordered you an
MELMO (Elmo) cake since that is what you
have asked for..
This
year has been a crazy time for our family for many reasons but you have just
gone with flow. Even when you had what seemed like 15 ear infections which
forced you to get tubes at 18 months old- you still somehow lit up a room every
time you wobbled in! You are so easy going an agreeable and keep yourself
entertained for quite a while with the simplest of toys and objects. You are so
lucky to be in the care of your Great Grandma Bea who ADORES you and who you
have named BB. We are so glad that you get to be such a special part of her
life and I pray each day that somehow you’ll remember this special time with
her. You have also made such amazing friends at “daycare”. Peyton, Jordan,
Chloe, Cameron and Hayden look forward to seeing you and you LOVE Katie, Matt and
Bella (the dog). You cry when you have to leave each day and I am ecstatic that
you have already made a friend that lives right down the street and you are
able to start kindergarten with.
You are
an amazing eater, and even though you are so tall and slender, you pack food
away like there is no tomorrow. You favorite food of all is Little Venice
spaghetti, followed closely by Nirchi’s Pizza, Oatmeal , Ice Cream and of
course fruitsnacks. You are a true BINKY addict and still love a BABA at night!
You love to snuggle, and bear hug and of course give kisses. You are a monkey
girl with NO FEAR! Your UNCLE DICKEY has suitably named you Captain Ciaos since
you can destroy an entire room in a few seconds. You love to watch Disney with
Moira and you sing to all the songs right along with her. Your favorite sayings
have become; ISOSORRY(ONEWORD), LOVEYOU, and YESSSS! You also like to use the
word NO a lot, but only when you really mean it. You smile with your whole face
on demand and your eyes sparkle to compliment your beautiful BLONDE curly hair!
You
Love to be outside and ask every 5 seconds if we can GO! You are a great
tricycle rider and enjoy RUNNING and have gone through 5 pairs of shoes this
month alone. You love books, and Barbies, Princesses and playing kitchen. With
every gift you grandparents bring over you open up your mouth huge and say
WOAHHHHHH and TANK OOO! You are also sensitive and caring and are empathetic
when anyone cries or is sad you rush to comfort them- and I hope you remain this
way forever. You love Mackey Boy who you call GOOD BOY and you two run around
the house together for what seems like hours- I know you two will be lifelong
friends.
I am SO HAPPY that you have a sister-who loves you so much. Every
time we go anywhere everyone stops us and says how beautiful you two are and
how you will be best friends forever (BFF’s). I know there will probably be a time in the
future where you two will grow apart and find your own path-but I pray each day
that you two will in fact be BFF’s and to quote your sister, “Momma my heart
hurts even when Emma-Jo leaves for a second.”
Emma-Jo, You are an angel on earth and I can’t remember life
without you. You are so smart and caring a loving and FUNNY. You tell the best
knock- knock jokes and if I could pause our life and keep you at this age
forever I would. I pray that the next year finds growth, health and happiness
for you and that you will know how loved you are. You entire family can’t get
enough of you and I am so luck to be called your mom!
I
LOVE YOU SO!
YOU ARE MY
SUNSHINE!
XOXO, MOMMA

28 more days!
This weekend was crazy fun and exhausting. We had the wonderful opportunity to be apart of Erin's baptism and I got to spend my 4th Mother's Day with my truly beautiful and amazing girls. I received a gift card for a massage, beautiful roses and a headband and balloon form rich and Tasha. My favorite gift was from Moira: a handmade clothespin key chain and a card asking me to take her shopping an buy her a dress which we did right away. It's hard to believe that summer is right around the corner and I am officially counting down. I am still trying to figure out how to blog from my phone so hopefully the following pictures will be from this weekend. I love my moms and grandma's and I am lucky to have such wonderful role-models around teaching me how to be a great mom:)

TAKE 3
Moira is now 3 years and 7 months and Emma-Jo will be 2 in less then 8 weeks. What better reason then to try my hand at documenting out life again. I'll admit that life IS crazy, but I have also recently been reminded of keeping track of all or our milestones and happenings no matter how small. I VOW to update regularly and try my best to record and appreciate all the small things, even if the only proof is on this BLOG. Love to all who keep us afloat and I hope that we, in return have helped you:)
